LGC Plumbing Proudly Presents Desperados 12th Annual Golf Tournament
Benefiting Assist the Officer Foundation!!

The First Responders Charitable Foundation (FRCO) was created with a simple but powerful mission: to support the brave men and women who selflessly serve and protect our communities every day. Through fundraising efforts, community partnerships, and charitable events, FRCO provides immediate assistance and meaningful support to first responders and their families during times of critical need.
As part of this mission, FRCO proudly supports the Assist the Officer Foundation (ATO), which provides vital financial and emotional assistance to law enforcement officers and first responders facing hardship. The ATO Foundation offers financial support to officers experiencing loss of income due to serious injury, life-threatening illness, or other catastrophic events. Immediate assistance is also available to the families of officers who lose their lives in the line of duty.
In 2004, the ATO Foundation introduced an unprecedented confidential counseling program designed exclusively for police officers. While life’s challenges can impact anyone, the unique dangers and stresses associated with law enforcement can become overwhelming. This important program continues to provide officers with professional counseling resources and critical emotional support when they need it most.
In 2025, ATO’s Confidential Counseling Program provided 1,755 counseling appointments to 452 first responders, ensuring they had access to critical, trauma-informed mental health support when they needed it most. The total cost of these services reached $205,669.40, a reflection not only of growing need, but of our unwavering promise that cost will never be a barrier to care.
In addition, ATO provided $259,833.61 in direct financial assistance to 133 families across 20 different police and fire agencies. These funds helped families navigate serious injury, illness, and other catastrophic events—offering stability during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Since its founding in 1976, Desperados Restaurants has proudly played an active role in giving back to the community through charitable events and fundraisers such as the Dallas Cinco de Mayo Festival, the Dallas Top Shelf Margarita Contest, Anniversary Fiesta, Savor Mexico, and more than 10 years of golf tournaments benefiting worthy causes. Desperados’ longstanding commitment to helping others has inspired the continued growth of our philanthropic efforts and the creation of FRCO.
For the eight year in a row, LGC Plumbing is proud to be this year’s title sponsor. LGC Plumbing’s mission is to provide excellent service with integrity and honesty. Inspire employees to care for each other, customers and community. Strive to give back and make a difference.
